This is the final post about my trip to Iceland. I hope that my travel blog has inspired you to take a trip to this awe inspiring country. You certainly won't regret it. Below are some of my favorites images from the trip.
I got up at 4 am to shoot sunrise at Kerlingarfjoll. There were only a few of us that opted to do this. We were rewarded with a spectacular sunrise - the best of the trip.
I like a little squiggle in my river...
Secret spot somewhere in the highlands...
Ljotipollur Lake in Landmannalaugar - I'd seen a picture of this area on Instagram before my trip and thought that the photographer must have gone a little overboard with the saturation slider in Adobe Lightroom. Much to my surprise the colors are authentic and amazing to behold.
This image of Bláhylur Lake, at sunset, is probably the image I'm most proud of. It was shot at a focal length of 17mm with my a Tamron 15-30mm f/2.8 wide angle lens. A really terrific lens.
The photographer standing on the edge of the cliff, in the upper right-hand corner, gives scale to the expansive landscape. I love the textures in the snow and rock formations, the colors, and the contrast of hot sulfur steam versus the ice cold glaciers.
