Although Scotland is spectacular in color, this post is all about the dramatic black & white.
Waterfall on the River Coupall. This image was hard to get because the rain kept on creating water spots on my lens. It took a lot of tries to get a clean shot. So long, that by the time I went to move, I was firmly cemented in the muck and it took some effort to get myself free.
Shout out to my Scottish guides for showing me this spot on Elgol Beach. It was a little precarious to get to as we had to time the waves so as not to get soaked. The sky was moody and the waves produced by rough waters were spectacular.
Wide angle view of the Cuillin Hils from Elgol Beach on the Isle of Skye. The first shot of the waves (above this image) was taken around the corner of the first set of cliffs coming down to the beach on the other side of the white cottage.
The Quiraing on the Isle of Skye.
Another slog through the mucky moors of Glencoe to capture these Scotch pine trees at Loch Tulle. The color version of this image is pretty cool but I like the black & white just as much.
