When I launched Kerrin Burke Lahr Photography LLC, I knew from the start that I would include a "giving back" component to my business. This past summer I offered my photography skills to an organization called Spare Key. Their motto: "We help families bounce and not break". Spare Key puts out an annual family calendar which features twelve families that they have helped. Each family bravely shares their story. I was chosen to photograph Josie and her mom, Patti, who are the family featured for the month of April.
The three of us met, in August, at Lake Nokomis in Minneapolis. Josie brought her adorable new puppy along for the photo session. After it was all said and done, I think we all had a fun afternoon!
