Looking back, 2019 holds wonderful travel memories. The locations - Patagonia, Kauai, Glacier National Park, and the North Shore of Lake Superior. Each location offered great vistas and travel companions. Below are five images I consider my best of the year.

Read MoreLast May, my husband Tom and I took the family (daughter Caitlin, son-in-law Chris, and son Kevin) to Kauai, Hawaii to celebrate our 35-year wedding anniversary. It wasn’t an easy task to coordinate everyone’s schedule but we did it! Now my typical idea of a vacation is hiking or skiing in the mountains not a tropical beach location but I have to say - I absolutely loved Kauai! Of course having my kids and son-in-law there made it so special!

It is located in northwestern Montana encompassing over a million acres, 175 mountains, 762 lakes, 563 streams, over 200 named waterfalls and 25 active glaciers. Read MoreA trip to Argentina is not complete without a visit to a gaucho ranch or estancia. Gauchos are considered a folk hero similar to the North American cowboy. They are known for being skilled horsemen and are an important part of Argentina’s past. We spent the afternoon with gauchos near El Chaltén.
